Environment plays a major role in how our life will turn out; so do the types of people in recovery that we are hanging out with. If we want our recovery to come true, start hanging in places where they already are and with people who can help guide our way to our child within. It’s possible to achieve our dreams; we have just got to make sure we are on the side of our child within to make them come true, instead of doubting that they exist. Show people who are living their nightmare that it’s totally possible to live their recovery by showing them yours. Be a lighthouse understand the shine that comes with working the Ten Stages. Know that you already are your recovery and start taking action until you produce the result in reality. Keep going. Try until it happens and don’t stop until then.

Have you ever had a “reality challenge” from someone you liked and respected, a lot?  
 
Perhaps that person is yourself hidden deep inside you. Maybe it made an observation about your life, or “called you out” for clinging to a particular excuse when you’re capable of so much more.  We don’t always “enjoy” these little wake-up jolts. Sometimes, the truth can be painful. But from time to time? We all need a reality challenge. We need an interior voice to hold us to a higher standard of behaviour — or else we tend to fall short of our real potential.  You were born to be happy, to be healthy, and to contribute to the world in a meaningful way. That’s what your child within wishes for you -- and yes, will support you in your happiness at The Stages.  You might be a manicurist. You might be a unemployed. You might a mental health problem,  you may be addicted to a substance or a behaviour, life coach, a yoga teacher or the director of a meditation centre.  No matter what you do (or dream of doing), you have skills and abilities that can make your child within s life better.  Now here’s the part that might be tough to hear:  It is our  responsibility — as a human being — to bring our skills and abilities to communicate with the support of others our child within.  It is our  responsibility to relearn to communicate with our child within to release our childs intuitive voice at the highest possible level, helping people, teaching people, inspiring people, at every possible opportunity.  If you hold back — by hiding, procrastinating, giving just 80% of your capacity, or refusing to contact your child within — you are essentially stealing from the people who need you most.   theft of our peace, our serenity our unlimited potential.  That’s what it is.  Tough to hear — but true.  We know that whatever you are currently doing in your world the potential for your liberation is here today

 I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to place others as figures of authority in my life, while placing myself as a sheep who simply follow orders. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to take orders from religious authority figures from school days, without ever questioning them. I recall how obedient and submissive I was to the catholic priests in my school, they had larger-than-life authority over us, students and parents. The principal figure was “Fr. Rector”, whom everyone feared, surrendered, and suck up to. In this I forgive myself for placing Fr. Rector in a position of godly power and authority, who can do no wrong. Not seeing/realizing the whole catholic priestly vocation is a survival trick for the low-income catholic families, who send their boys to become priest to secure a stead income and respect later on, in this I never asked the question how can a child make such serious decision to become a priest. As long as there is poverty, we will never run out of priest, it’s a career with guaranteed income, respect and AUTHORITY, mind you ‘no sex’ at least not officially. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to even as an adult suck up to “Fr. Rector”, giving him same kind of respect, all out of his perceived authority, in that passing the virus to next the generation, as children pick up from adults. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to trust everything that was taught by these religious figures, without ever questioning them. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to later on develop this submissive, fearful attitude towards all those who posses ‘knowledge and information’, as they became sort of authority figures in my life. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear those who posses ‘knowledge and information’ and I become like a slave to them, because their apparent authority made me feel weak and insecure. Within this I forgive myself for feeling weak and insecure at the presence of those who posses knowledge and information, not seeing/realizing I am giving away my self-power to them, I am the one who placed them in such position of authority and power, instead of investigating, studying, understanding and thereby gaining the ‘knowledge and information’, I simply took the easy way out. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize authority figures are everywhere, and it is my responsibility to be self-aware and investigate all things, otherwise I will very subtly end up accepting their authorities. This is how the madness is passed down from generation to generation. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize I am the ultimate authority, as in self-authority, who can investigate, study, breathe, and look at any given situation without any emotional pre-conditions within the principle of what is best for all. I have never been that self-authority, I always looked at things emotionally or thru pre-conditions, like judgments, past memories, fears, worries etc. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize that I have given away my self-power, self-authority to figures out there. All powers out there exist because I gave away my self-p0wer and self-authority. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize, I gave away my self-authority, my self-power because it was all too easy, and less responsible thing to do, because being self-authority requires immense self-responsibility. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize ultimately I have given away all my power to the mind/emotional energy that controls me, in whose snap of a finger I can be brought to surrender and service, like giving into porn or sexual images to get a quick high, all that happens because of this mind/emotional energy possession/movement within me as authority/power. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to give my power away by saying “the devil made me do it”, this is an absolute abdication of self-responsibility and giving away of self-power and self-authority. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize that thinking, recalling memories, worrying about the future are all examples of me giving away self-authority, and self-power, because my real self-authority is found here in this present moment being in my body, not dwelling in past or future. I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to give away self-authority by thinking and recalling my past, memories, both positive and negative moments, and in that go into sort of depression and sadness, thereby completely losing my self-authority and self-power. When I am emotionally possessed, it is easy for outside agents to further exercise their power and authority over me, so I am at a double loss when I give up my self-power within myself. Lastly, I realize how much power and authority money has over me, in whose almighty name, I could do nearly anything, in this I forgive myself for giving away my self-authority and self-power to money, in this I realize the principle of self-interest is not self-powerful nor self-authoritative, what is best for all is the real power principle. When and as I see myself faced with issues of power and authority, I take a moment to breathe, and reflect on the given situation, to see for myself, am I abdicating my self-authority, am I abdicating my self-responsibility, am I abdicating my self-power? In asking those questions, I can see for myself which direction to take, in a way that is best for all.

 When and as I communicate with people I simply communicate, I breathe, I focus on the subject, I listen attentively, and I say if there is something relevant to discus, instead of making stupid jokes to make everyone laugh etc., all that is drama, attention seeking drama. Sucks big time, but no self-judgment, it is what it is; now I see these patterns are in me, so I direct myself to STOP. Nobody wants an eternal joker around, who does nothing but making others laugh, that’s obviously attention seeking. It’s another blog to deal with sense of humor, I mean at which point does sense of humor becoming attention seeking? Anyways, the key realization here is, stay within myself, live as if there is NOBODY around, I mean when I am all alone I don’t do any strange dramas to get attention, do I? When I am alone I just live, I just breathe. But when I am with people, or when I communicate with people, then the attention seeking personality goes on top gear, of course with my permission/direction. So how to stop this disease. It’s kind of depressing what I am doing to myself, basically I am telling everyone that “hey guys, I don’t’ give a damn about myself, so please give me a damn by giving me some attention”. Shame, sooner or later, they too will get tired of giving me attention, or will

During a disrespectful event, such as abuse, our logic is turned off and our nervous system automatically goes into a survival-mode (‘fight, flight, or freeze’) response. If we cannot run away or are unable to fight, we go into a freeze state unable to move or act.  This is an animal instinct to feign death so an attacker will lose interest. Additionally, when physical and/or psychological pain becomes too much to tolerate, the mind distances itself from the experience by numbing the body and the psyche, which is called dissociation. During a traumatic event, the nervous system goes into survival mode and sometimes gets stuck in this function. If the nervous system stays in survival mode, stress hormones, such as cortisol, are constantly released, causing an increase in blood pressure and blood sugar, which can in turn reduce immune system and healing functions and also make it difficult to handle any other stressful situation. As a result, when the body is in constant distress, physical and psychological symptoms start to manifest.
