The circumstances of your present moment in the grip of addiction DO NOT define you. Who you are is an innocent child stumbling into recovery who can ask for help at any time, who will be blessed and who will experiences miracles regularly when you stop blocking them with your denial, fear and doubt.
And NONE of this means that you don’t have to work hard. But when you are driven by your intuition, when you see yourself SURROUNDED BY GRACE, when you co-create with The 12 Step program, expect it to be really hard at first and then watch as your life begins to be PULLED rather than needing to push it.
Life will become hard first because all the ways of doing things that used to work for you no longer work and so you need to adjust and learn the new way, in sync and in the flow with The Program of Recovery. THEN, it will become easier once you learn the way the steps work.
Work hard, serve hard, give hard, surrender, let go and watch the miracles unfold. And expect the tough times. Don’t be in denial and think that you don’t have to go through them; that denier is just keeping you back from stepping into your greatness.
So what challenges, hard times, hard work and failures can you be grateful for?
And do you see that none of those things is who you really are? You become reborn in Recovery.
