How has this experience with power greater than ourselves has changed as a result of our involvement in AA.

Reconciling the fact that men are deeply programmed to be strong, silent, self-reliant, in control, leaders, providers and having all the answers but yet the Twelve Steps require men to surrender, ask for help, die to self, depend on a higher power, clean house and serve others.  Because the Twelve Steps are so counterintuitive to how men see themselves in the world, offer a practical road map for men who want to experience deep change.Recovery offers you the chance to experience true and appropriate power—power that is not used to control or frighten others. Without specifically addressing masculine or feminine power, how has this experience with a power greater than ourselves changed as a result of our involvement in AA.
