Addiction and Scientific discoveries in biology and neuroscience have provided new data that show that it is possible to change our genetic expression, create new neural networks and grow new brain neurons throughout our lifetime. This is a huge revolutionary, or more to the point, evolutionary, paradigm shift in our understanding of how our bodies and minds can heal.   An efficient and effective holistic  and scientific 12-Step Program to aid people in recovery from addiction, codependency, and other self-destructive behaviors. It is now substantiated by science that the mind, body, and spirit are all interconnected, thus the possibility of complete and sustainable recovery is significantly increased when your entire being is treated, not just one part of yourself. Therefore if a person has symptoms manifesting in the mind, there must be a related imbalance in the physical body. The EVOPROGRAM directly addresses the mind, body, spirit connection with a specific program that deals with each of these aspects.

1. We admitted we were powerless over our addictions - that our lives had become unmanageable due to how our brains had become injured by our addictions.

2. Came to believe that an outside healthy thought process greater than ours (which you might call God) could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of this higher thought process as we understood it.

4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our crazy making behaviour and how it manifests in our life.

5. Admitted to ourselves our addictive behaviours, checked with another human being the exact nature of our brain dysfunctions and how they manifest in our lives.

6.Were entirely ready to have our thought processes changed and worked to remove all these addictive traits in our lives.

7. Recognised and asked to remove our crazy making thought processes within our lives.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed and damaged by our brain disorder, its behaviour and sickness, and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. Continued to take personal inventory of our thinking disorder and when we could see the behavior working in our lives  promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with our healthy recovering brain as we understood it, praying only for knowledge of its healthy will for us and the changed behaviour that would allow us to carry it out.

12. Having become awakenend as to our addictive behaviour and chemically changed condition as the result of this process, we tried to carry this message to addicts and to practice healthy living in all our affairs as we gave thanks for our restoration to life.

Step 1: There's a power that will kill me.
Step 2:There's a power that wants me to live.
Step 3:Which do I want? (If you want to die, stop here. If you want to
live, go on.)
Step 4: Using examples from your own life, understand that
selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and fear control your actions.
Step 5: Tell all your private, embarrassing secrets to another person.
Step 6: Decide whether or not you want to live that way any more.
Step 7: If you want your life to change, ask a Power Greater Than
yourself to change it for you. (If you could have changed it yourself,
you would have long ago.)
Step 8: Figure out how to make right all the things you did wrong.
Step 9: Fix what you can without causing more trouble in the process.
Step 10: Understand that making mistakes is part of being human (When
you make a mistake, fix it, immediately if you can.)
Step 11: Ask for help to treat yourself and others like you, the way
you want your higher power to treat you.
Step 12: Don't stop doing 1 through 11. And PASS IT ON!
