Bill Wilson wrote between 1965 and 1971. His interest in the benefits of B-3 for alcoholics (including himself) represent his passion in the final years of his work, but were surpressed by Alcoholics Anonymous of the time. Ironically, he had founded AA, but Bill still couldn't get the organization to accept what he felt was his greatest discovery. He actually felt his promotion of the benefits of Niacin B-3 on alcoholic recovery was on par with --or even a great breakthrough -- than his development of the 12 steps of recovery.
He printed these brochues with his own funds at an office he set up off the New York AA campus.

Bill claimed that his use of niacin megadoses greatly relieved the depression that had plagued him after getting sober. And hundreds of recovering people he sponsored in a little known research study found the same results.

If you are in recovery or a professional working with alcoholics, you will find these surpressed writings not only of historic interest, but of vital interest in helping alcoholics avoid relapse and enjoy a contented sobriety. He didn't see B-3 as a cure for alcoholism, just a powerful aid in recovery...including his own.
