Divisive rifts do not need to form among schools of addiction recovery as the end result they seek is the same; the conflict is merely illusory. Do not narrow your field of vision concerning your life and/or addiction problems. New and novel approaches will continue to emerge and prove successful. The right answer is out there for all of us; it may require some searching, or even just keeping an open mind that the answer may lay hidden among seemingly meaningless rhetoric of daily life. What works for one may not necessarily work for another. On the other hand, do not discount "old" ways of doing things either, just for the sake of taking on a new trend, for there have been proven results in the traditional field of addiction treatment. As they say in AA: "Take what you like and leave the rest."
